My Very First Blog

It's that time of the year again for feng shui updates!

I have to apologize for this rather late updates, but I was really busy, and still am. I will try to keep the post short and to the point with minimal words.

Last month, I attended Joey Yap's Feng Shui and Astrology 2018 at KL Convention Centre. As usual, it was full house.

This time, I will cut straight to the chase with the worldwide prediction for 2018 based on the Bazi Chart for 2018. Please note that I am simply reporting what I heard and learnt at the seminar. If you are at the seminar,  you may want to correct me if I made any errors in my writing.

Also, to understand what is written here, you need to have at least some very basic knowledge of the 5 elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood) and what a Bazi Chart is.  I won't go into details - you can easily google for 5 elements 101 and Bazi 101.

Below is the Bazi Chart for 2018.



Yin Fire (Day Master) born in the season of Wood (branch of Month Pillar) is considered very strong. However, this type of wood (Yang Wood) is hard to start the fire. Metal is needed to chop the wood, only then will the fire be bright.

Fire is considered strong (dominant) in this Chart.
There is Wu Earth (big rock or mountain) in the Chart. It's not easy for Wood to penetrate this big mountain. Looks like the wood has a lot of wealth but although it looks rich, actually it is not. So wood related industries will be headline news and popular. People will speculate in this industry but in the end, it is not really profitable.

Fire industries need to make money. They need to counter Metal but because Metal is hidden, Fire therefore becomes strong. At the end of the day, profit is even.

Precious Metal industries are hidden under the radar. Not much news on this industry as it's hidden, but there are actually lots of money here. Smart investors would therefore invest in the metal industries.

Water is one of the primary elements in 2018. There is no competition. Fire is the wealth of water element. So water industries like gaming, health and technology will be doing well in 2018.

In summary, the top three industries for 2018 will be
1. Wood
2. Fire
3. Earth

There will be political crisis in 2018. Yang Wood try to conquer Yang Earth pillar. Dog in the Chart represents fighting, armies and soldiers. There is lack of balance in the Chart.
Hidden yin metal means there will be security issues like terrorism.
Since Water represents freedom and there are lots of Earth countering the Water, freedom of the press will be suppressed in 2018.

Next, calamities for 2018.
War related conflicts is the major calamity in the Dog Year. Dog in the Chart generally means aggressiveness. Earth and Dog means there will be volatility. But will the war starts from North Korea? Joey said it's unlikely.

The Qi Men Chart for 2018 shows that North Korea has internal problem in 2018. As such, North Korea will be too busy handling its internal problem to fight with US. Also China and US will work together to suppress North Korea.

The 9 Star Fire enters the centre of the Chart this year. This means war will start from the Middle East. Yin Fire represents explosion and Metal hidden inside Dog represents bombs.

There will also be possibility of tsunami occurring in 2018. Since Fire is strong, things will heat up. Icebergs will melt causing water levels to rise resulting in flooding, excessive rain, heavy snow and tsunami.

Water represents movement but this movement is impeded by strong Earth. As such, there will most likely be transport issues in 2018.

As for illnesses, most common in 2018 will be joints and bones problems, prostate, gallbladder issues, indigestion, nerve problem and cardio related problems. This can be seen from the top four pillars of the Bazi Chart. However, Joey did not elaborate further.

Now we go to the 2018 Predictions for Malaysia.

First, we need to know how to come up with the Bazi Chart for Malaysia. Malaysia's date of birth (independence day) is 31 August, 1957. From this date, a Bazi Chart can be derived with the following details : Rooster year, Monkey month, Boar day and Horse hour.

Now superimpose the Malaysian Bazi Chart onto the Bazi Chart of the Year.

You will find that the elements from strongest to weakest are as follows
1. Fire
2. Wood
3. Metal
4. Earth
5. Water

The chart indicates that Property will not be good this year. It will be more of a buyers' market.
IT sector however looks good.

Now take a look at your own Personal Bazi Chart (PBC). If you do not have a PBC, you can plot it HERE. (you need to register first if you are a new user).

If you have Fire, 2018 will be a great year for you! If does not matter how the election turns out, whoever wins, you will still have a good year in 2018.

If no Fire, look for Wood in your PBC. If you have both Fire and Wood, you are extremely lucky!

If no Fire and Wood, look for Metal in your PBC. If you have Metal, then your 2018 will still be quite OK. Not fantastic, but OK.

If you have read Part 1, you would have most likely downloaded your Personal Bazi Chart (PBC). If not, please download your PBC HERE before continue reading.

Now if you look at your PBC, you can see that there are four animal signs - one on each of the four pillars.

You will also notice that there is a fifth animal sign in the 10-Year Luck Pillar. (This 10-Year Luck Pillar is located right below the 4 Pillars of Destiny). The current 10-year pillar is also shaded for easy reference.

Refer to the diagram below. This is an example of a Bazi Chart downloaded from Joey Yap's site. I have circled all 5 animal signs in red.





In the above example, this person is born in the year of Ox, month of Rooster, day of Dog and hour of Goat. He is born in 1985, which means he is currently 32 years old and therefore he is residing in the Year Pillar between age 24 and 34. As you can see, the animal sign in that pillar is Horse.

Now look at your own PBC. Can you locate all your five animal signs?

As you already know, the Bazi Chart is divided into 4 pillars - the Year, the Month, the Day and the Hour.

The Year pillar represents your job, career, friends and social network.
The Month pillar represents your work performance and business opportunities.
The Day pillar represents relationships and your spouse. (If not married, the Day pillar represents you).
The Hour pillar represents your children, your ambitions, goals, dreams and also investment opportunities.

If the animal sign in your Year Pillar is favourable in 2017, this means you can move forward in your career. Or you can probably build lots of followers in Facebook for example, since the Year Pillar is also related to social network.

If the animal sign in your Month Pillar is favourable in 2017, this means you can go to next level in your job. It also means that it is a good year to start a business.

The same goes with the Day and Hour pillars - in short, you have to see which animal is in your chart and where they are located so that you can then relate to the different aspects of your life.

As for the animal sign in the 10-Year Luck Pillar, this represents whatever good or bad luck will come to you. Just be aware and accept them when they come.

Every year, different stars reside in each of the 12 animal signs. Some of the stars are good stars (auspicious) and others not so good (inauspicious).

Below is a shot I took during the seminar (Sorry not very clear). It features the 2017 Animal Sign Forecast.


All Chinese astrologers worldwide use this chart, which is also found in the Chinese Tong Shu.

All the good stars are in red, while the not so good stars are in black. From the chart, you can see that the Rooster has the most red, so we can generally conclude that the Rooster is the best animal sign for 2017.

If you have a Rooster in your PBC, rejoice! However, to know which aspect of your life it is related to, you need to see whether the Rooster is in your Year, Month, Day or Hour pillar.

The Monkey and the Snake have zero good stars unfortunately, but Joey Yap said this does not mean people with these two animal signs are guaranteed a bad year. No good stars means no external help, so you simply have to depend on yourself.

According to Joey Yap, the Top 5 Animal Signs for 2017 are the Dragon, the Horse, the Rooster, the Rat and the Tiger. Do you have any of these animals in your PBC? If you have all five, this is an excellent year for you!

However, according to Joey Yap, even if you have only one of two of these animal signs, you cannot complain that 2017 is a bad year for you as there are opportunities as long as you make the right choices, have a good strategy, or able to change your environment. He said that many people have good luck, it's just that they do not make use of it.

Now let's look at some of the stars in various categories and the animal signs they reside in for the year 2017.

Wealth Stars
Found in Tiger, Rat, Horse and Rooster.

1. National Treasure (Tiger) - This star represents an increase in status and salary. If you have this in your chart especially in the Month or Year, your opportunity to increase in ranking, in position and power is there. But you need to take action to make it happen.

2. Moon (Rat) - The moon represents the power or ability or business acumen to think about new business strategy. It also represents mastermind of money and money management. Good for budding entrepreneurs and start ups. Unfortunately, the Moon is not a very aggressive star - people with this star usually think a lot about making money but seldom take action. So make sure to take action if you have Rat in your chart!

3. Treasure (Horse) - In ancient days, the emperor rewards certain general or officer who did a good job for the year in the form of a 'treasure'. Therefore this Treasure star is suited for people who are working for commission, prize money, or sales based on commission.

4. Jade Hall (Rooster) - This star represents increase in assets, value, income and wealth. Also the ability to save money.

Hint : If you have these animal signs in your chart, make sure you take action. Otherwise, nothing will happen as wealth do not fall onto your lap!


Relationships
Found in Rat and Horse.

1. Sky Happiness (Rat) - This star represents relationships. If you are single, someone will appear. If you are married, your marriage will be happier. If the Rat appears in the Year pillar, you will be attending lots of weddings. If it appears in the Month pillar, and you are a professional homemaker, you will be contributing happiness to your home and marriage. If it appears in your Day pillar, you suddenly appear very attractive to others this year (lol). If it appears in your Hour pillar, you will receive lots of interesting investment opportunities.

Note that having a Rat in your Chart is especially good because you have the Moon and Sky Happiness stars, which means you will have both money and good relationships!

2. Red Matchmaker (Horse) - This star also represents auspicious relationship. If you have this star and you are single, you won't be single for long. Your likeability increase and you attract people in your life. Note that when you are likeable, it also means good for doing business.

3. Salty Pool (Horse) - This is not so auspicious as it attracts unwanted relationships. Short of saying you will become more horny (oops I said it!) you need to be careful and more aware of this star if you are married!


Status, Power and Recognition
Found in Dragon and Rooster

1. Emperor Star (Dragon) - Every year, this star only occupies one of the 12 animal signs. In 2017, it is in the Dragon. An Emperor is always right so with this star, it means you are always right! You will  have the ability to raise funds, start a business, and get a license for your product.

If the Dragon is in your Year pillar, you can change the environment by changing job, career or business location. If it is in your Month pillar, you can take the next level up in your work and career. If the Dragon is in the Day pillar, you might have a strained marriage, because now your spouse is always right! (lol). If it is in the Hour pillar, all your ambitions and dreams will come true!

2. General Star (Rooster) - Represents power, status and authority. With this star, you are in charge! If you own a business, make sure you make all the important business decisions! If not in business, make sure you take a higher ranking in your career.

3. The Duke's Arrival (Rooster) - This year, the General star comes with the Duke's Arrival. With this star, you will get lots of attention and become popular. Of course, if you are not one who enjoy the limelight, this star will do you no good!


Helpful People
Found in Pig, Horse, Dragon and Dog

1. Heavenly Yi (Pig) - This star brings good mentor into your life. With this star, try to network more with people of higher ranking.

2. Fortune Virtue (Horse) - This is a prosperity star. You get to enjoy life, have lots of good food and basically gets fat! If the Horse is in your Day pillar, and you are single, it means you will get fat. If you are married, then your spouse is the one who will get fat. Lol.

3. Dragon Virtue (Dragon) - One of the best nobleman stars. You have the ability to resolve challenges and problems.

4. Sun (Dog) - The most powerful nobleman star. You become the helpful person to others. A lot of people will come to you to help solve their problems. Only good if you enjoy helping others! But remember, whoever you help this year, you might get their help in return in future, so it's worth helping.

If the Dog is in your Year pillar, a lot of friends will come to you for help. If it is in your Month pillar, you will be helping colleagues at work. If it's in your Day pillar, your spouse will be spending a lot of time helping others, so try to understand (lol). If it's in your Hour pillar, you help others become rich in investment opportunities. So if you are a Fund Manager and you have this star, this is definitely a good year for you!


Solving Problems
Found in Dragon and Ox

1. Dragon Virtue (Dragon) - This star is already mentioned above. Note that since this is a problem solving star, it means that you will have lots of problems in 2017 for you to solve. If you don't solve or you feel it's a hassle, you will suffer the consequences. So make sure you solve the problems especially since the Dragon also has the Emperor Star which means you have the ability to solve them!

2. Relief God (Ox) - This star is especially good for solving health problems. Use this opportunity to go for health check up and get the right treatment. This star is also good for getting rid of debt issues, and solving disputes and arguments.


Property Luck
Only found in Pig

Earth Relief (Pig) - Good for moving house, renovation and buying new property. With this star, it will be easier for you to look for a house. Note that if you do not have a Pig in your chart, and you want to buy new property or move house, get help from people who have Pig in their charts!


Fame
Found in Ox and Goat

1. Three Stages (Ox) - This represents increase in ranking one step at a time. Best for step by step career progression or climbing the corporate ladder.

2. Eight Seats (Goat) - This star helps you become famous or popular overnight. If the Goat is in the Year pillar, you might find that you suddenly have lots of friends on Facebook this year. If it is n your Hour pillar, your goals and dreams will receive lots of attention. A great star to have if you are into marketing and business.


Academic
Found in Ox and Rooster

1. Elegant Seal (Ox) - good for artists, and those in artistic and creative fields. The downside is you might be weird or eccentric.

2. Intelligent Star (Rooster) - If you have this star, make sure you study new skills, new subjects or acquire knowledge this year. It will be easier to learn new things which may prove beneficial to you in future.


Social Capital
The new trend of the young and rich is to get rich in their 20's. This method of getting rich depends a lot on networking and connections online, hence the name social capital.
Found in Snake, Pig and Dragon

1. Three Harmony (Snake) - This is a Snake and Rooster combination. Find people with good stars to help you.

2. Sky Horse (Pig) - good for out of country investments, exports and doing overseas business. With this star, you have the ability to market products overseas so you can either travel out of the country to do business or sell products to overseas customers online.

3. Grand Duke Combination (Dragon) - With this Dragon and Rooster combination, you are able to connect with the right people or people with power and authority.


Forgetfulness
Found in Monkey and Dog

1. Death God (Monkey) - This star represents forgetfulness and absent mindedness. This means if you have the Monkey in your chart, you tend to be very forgetful in 2017.

2. Sky Emptiness (Dog) - This star makes you talk a lot, but nothing happens. Or you have big ideas but they suddenly disappear. If you have this star, better not plan for the whole year (because your plans will likely not happen). Instead plan small every month.


Emotional
Found in Goat, Rooster and Ox

1. Lonesome (Goat) - Best described as lonely at the top. You might be rich and popular, but somehow you feel lonely.

2. Sky Cry (Rooster) - feeling very sentimental

3. Instability (Ox) - feeling very emotional

4. Five Ghost (Ox) - feeling suspicious of others, or feeling uncomfortable in an empty hotel room


Conflicts
Found in Rooster, Horse, and Dog

1. Triple Punishment (Rooster) - feeling down and not appreciated

2. Hidden Corpse (Rooster) - offending others by talking about sensitive issues

3. Curled Tongue (Horse) - like to debate or argue with people

4. Six Horns (Dog)  - Offending other people. This usually happens when you are trying to help solve people's problems (since you have the Sun star) but ending up offending others.


Petty People
Found in Snake, Dog and Goat

1. Back Poking (Snake) - People talk bad about you behind your back

2. Yin Sha (Dog) - Offending females. If you are a guy, most likely your ex-girlfriend gives you problems, or you have extra marital issues, or your current relationship becomes hostile.
If you are a girl, your female friend backstabs you.

3. Leopard Tail (Goat) - Offending people, by accidentally stepping on their tail. Since you are popular (because of the Eight Seeds star), most likely you attract jealousy.


Spending Money
Found in Tiger and Rabbit

1. Lesser Consumer (Tiger) - Spend a lot on luxury items, vacations etc. Since Tigers have National Treasure star, they make lots of money but end up spending most of the money this way. A good  remedy is to buy more assets. So even if you are destined to spend lots of money in 2017, at least you will be spending money on something that can increase in value.

On a side note, if you are a salesperson looking to increase your sales, why not search for potential customers with Tiger in their Bazi chart? :)

2. Greater Consumer (Rabbit) - Every year, the animal sign that clashes with the Tai Sui (Grand Duke) has this star. In 2017, it's the Rabbit who will have this unfortunate star. It indicates big expenditure and changes in financial standing. Those with Rabbit in their chart will find that somehow there will be circumstances that will force them to lose money.

Note that because Rabbit clashes with the Grand Duke this year, it indicates major changes. If the Rabbit is in your Year pillar, you will have a change of friends or work environment. If it's in your Month pillar, you will experience a change in job, structure of the company where you work at, or even a change of boss. If the Rabbit is in your Day pillar, this indicates a change in relationship. It could be a good thing if you are single as you will be tying the knot. If you are married however, it could mean you or your spouse traveling far and apart from each other, or may even indicate a divorce. If the Rabbit is in your Hour pillar, this indicates a change in your investment, usually means losing your investment.


Arguments and Disputes
Found in Monkey and Rabbit

1. Heavenly Officer Charm (Monkey) - indicated arguing with people and challenges in judicial and legal issues.

2. Prison Inmates (Rabbit) - This is related to fines and traffic tickets


Health
Found in Monkey, Ox and Rooster

1. Sickness Charm (Monkey) - Health issues especially intestinal

2. Blood Knife (Ox) - indicates blockages, cysts, or small injuries. May need to be removed via surgery.

3. Sword Edge (Rooster) - minor cuts, small bleeding.

NOTE : Read the latest! FENG SHUI 2018 ACCORDING TO JOEY YAP

Last Saturday I attended Joey Yap's 2017 Feng Shui and Astrology Seminar at KL Convention Centre. It was a full house event just like previous years.


For those who did not have the opportunity to attend, I will try to share as much as I can about what I learnt from the seminar. But first, you need to download your Personal Bazi Chart (PBC) HERE. This is absolutely necessary so that you can follow what I am about to share and to make the information relevant to you.

Not exactly sure what is Bazi? Bazi literally means Eight Characters. It's also known as the Four Pillars of Destiny. Read a brief introduction to Bazi HERE.
































If you do not have your Personal Bazi Chart with you, please download it NOW before continue reading.

In Chinese Metaphysics, the universe is divided into 5 elements, namely Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Understanding the interactions between these 5 elements is important in the study and implementation of feng shui cures. For 5 Elements 101, read HERE.

Below is the Bazi Chart for 2017, the year of the Fire Rooster.

Metal appears to be the most dominant element in 2017. This is followed by Water, Fire, Wood and lastly, Earth which is the weakest.

Now check your PBC. If you have Metal, then this will most likely be a good year for you. If there is no Metal at all in your PBC, then 2017 will be a challenging year for you.


Five elements and their strengths in 2017

Sorry if the photos in this post are not very clear. You may want to magnify the photo or zoom in to be able to read what is shown on the screen.

According to Joey Yap, in the year 2017, Earth represents Assets, Water represents Sales, Fire represents Profit, Wood represents Cash and Metal represents Self.


The formula to get wealthy

Take a look at your PBC. If you have Water, that means you will do well in sales this year. For people who are not in sales, Water can also mean influence. If you have Water in your PBC, this means you are able to influence others. In other words, when you talk, people listen.

If you are a boss intending to hire salespersons this year, then it is a good idea to check whether they have Water in their PBC. Do not hire people without Water in their charts. Likewise, if you do not have Water in your PBC, don't be in charge of sales this year. Instead, find other people who have water in their charts and partner them!

What if you have Water in your chart and you are not really good in sales? Then it is the perfect time for you to learn how to sell and learn how to influence others.

Fire represents Profit in 2017. It also represents accomplishments that may not have anything to do with wealth. If you have Fire in your PBC, and you are running a business, this means your business is likely to be profitable this year. But if you are not in business, Fire in your chart could mean you will accomplish something this year, like climbing a mountain or running a marathon, for example.

A profitable business does not neccessarily mean you have cash. Many businesses that are in profit actually experience cash flow problems. Wood represents Cash in 2017. So besides having Fire (profit), you must have Wood (cash) too. Now check your PBC. Do you have Wood?

If Wood is on the top of your PBC (Heavenly Stems row), everyone knows you are rich. If Wood is at the bottom (Earthly Branches row), no one knows you are rich.

So what do you do when you have extra cash? Joey Yap recommends that you put them back into your self to acquire more assets. The formula outlined in the photo above is, according to Joey Yap, the ultimate way to get wealthy.

Earth element is the weakest in 2017. This means resources are low. As Fire counters Metal, those in Metal industries (eg. automobiles) will experience regulatory pressures creating strong competition within. On a personal level, if you have Metal in your PBC, you will experience positive changes as a result of external pressures.

Water represents innovation. If you have Water in your PBC, 2017 is a great year to innovate. If you are in business or plan to start a business, know that the key to success is innovation. Without innovation, your business cannot survive for long. This simply means if you have no Water in your chart, do not attempt to start a business in 2017.  However, you can get round this by partnering someone who has Water!

Water in the PBC also means you can easily find talent or hire the right people.

A lot of people who invest in the stock market often ask which stocks to buy. Joey Yap said that since companies are run by people, what you can do is to check the Bazi Chart of the person who runs the company. If that person has Water in his chart, that means he can innovate and his business will thrive this year. Therefore, it would be a good company to invest in.

In the 2017 Bazi Chart, Wood is countered by four Metal. This means there will be sudden changes. So if you have a lot of Wood in your PBC, there will be sudden changes in your life this year. An example of sudden change would be moving house.

Wood in the chart also represents new leadership and new concept or direction. If you are a CEO of a company and you have Wood in your PBC, then you should come out with a new concept or direction for your company.

To summarize, if you have the top three elements - Metal, Water and Fire - in your PBC, this year will be a very good year for you. If these three elements are located on the top of your Bazi Chart (Heavenly Stems), you are very likely to earn Dumb Money this year!

What is Dumb money? It is money that you earn without you knowing exactly how you earned it. The opposite is Smart Money - money that you earn by working hard and following a specific way.  Most people get rich via Smart Money. But who would resist Dumb Money? Not me! So check your PBC - are you among the few lucky ones to have dumb money this year?


Global Outlook for 2017
Based on the 2017 Bazi Chart, there is a Metal and Fire clash. This means people are generally not optimistic. But they are more united against people in command. I take this to mean that in countries where the citizens are against the policies set by their leaders, they will tend to group together to oppose their leaders.

The clash between Metal and Fire in the chart also means that uncertainties will increase. More people will lose their jobs.

Spending on infrastructure will increase globally. However, there will be much less spending on the environment. Wood and Earth both represent the environment. Since there is Metal chop Wood in the Chart, and Earth is also the weakest element in 2017, these are indications that there will be more environmental disasters in 2017.

The presence of both yin and yang Metal in the Chart indicates tension. Security wise, there will be more incidences of terrorism. However, Joey Yap said if you have the top three elements - Metal, Water and Fire - in your PBC, you have no cause for worry about terrorism. However, if you have lots of Earth (weakest element in 2017) in your PBC, better stay at home to be safe. I am sure he's just joking! Haha.

Water in the Chart represents wisdom. Since Water is the second strongest element in 2017, there will be more people moving into education and academic fields.


Economic Outlook for Malaysia
To predict the economic outlook for Malaysia, Joey Yap compares the Fire Rooster Bazi Chart of 1957 (the year Malaysia achieved independence) with the 2017 Bazi Chart.

The result? Entertainment line will be good. Starting a new business in the entertainment field may be a good idea.

There will be challenges in the financial industry due to regulatory issues.

2017 will be a great year for IT (Information Technology), so those in the IT line will find it rewarding. This also means that doing an online business may prove to be rewarding in 2017.


Calamities in Malaysia
Most likely calamity to befall Malaysia in 2017 is the haze. Looks like this problem will never be solved, will it? Other calamities include flood, typhoon, health epidemics, tsunami, explosions and terrorism. Joey Yap however stressed that tsunami is very unlikely to happen.


Five Ways To Succeed In Life
During the seminar, Joey Yap also shared about 5 ways to succeed in life. The 5 ways are Luck, Choices, Strategy, Environment and Skills.

It is indeed very rare to have good luck in everything. But even if you have good luck, that is not enough. You need to also make the right choices in life. The purpose of studying Chinese Metaphysics or getting a Bazi Reading is so that you know what your choices are.  When you know your choices, you then make better decisions. The right decision can make a whole world of difference to whether you succeed or fail in life.

According to Joey Yap, luck is a form of qi (energy). To have good luck, you need to have high energy. High energy simply means you see positiveness, and see the good in everything. When you vibrate in the positive energy, you will also attract people with positive energy.

Luck is however only one of the five ways. Other game changers are making the right choices, having a strategy, changing your environment and learning a skill.


Health Forecast For 2017
According to Joey Yap, the year 2017 is a very unique year for health. Rooster (especially Fire Rooster) when combined with Fire element in the 2017 Bazi Chart represents medicine. There is a good chance of medical breakthrough happening in 2017.  Perhaps a cure for a currently uncured illness will be found.

It is also a good year to do a medical check-up especially if you already having health problems.

Metal represents respiratory and breathing, so there will be more cases of respiratory problems in 2017.

Ding Fire represents the heart, so there will be more cases of cardiovascular diseases.

Rooster and Rabbit clash in the chart indicates gynaecology and childbirth issues. An example is cyst in the ovaries.

Wood represents joints and bones, so there may be health problems related to these in 2017.

All these also means that doctors, healers and those in the medical field would probably have a financially rewarding year especially if they are dealing with the health issues related to respiratory, cardiovascular, gynaecology and bones.


What To Focus On In 2017
Take a look at your PBC. Notice the chart is divided into four pillars - the Year, Month, Day and Hour  pillars. Now that you know what are the positive elements for 2017 (which are Metal, Water and Fire), see where they are located in your PBC.

If they are located in your Year and Month pillars, focus on your career and social life.
If they are located in your Day and Hour pillars, focus on your home, family and relationships.


In A Nutshell
1. Game changing technology for IT. A good industry to be in. Starting an online business is highly recommended.

2. Medical breakthrough. Good year to do medical check-up.

3. Revolution. Change of leaderships. Citizens unite against leaders or people who set the rules.

4. Bumpy, choppy year. Metal chop wood. Won't be a smooth sailing year.

5. Problematic. Earth element weak, therefore resources are low. People don't see solution. If you see the solution, you win in 2017.

6. Employment will decrease. People losing jobs. But this also means easier to hire people and hire talents - an advantage for those starting a business.

7. Luck is only one of the 5 ways to succeed in 2017 and beyond. There are 4 more things (if you are willing to work at it) - choices, strategy, environment and skills - to make 2017 a great year for you!


Conclusions
If majority of the elements in your PBC are good (ie. Metal, Water and Fire), go forward and do something out of the ordinary this year. If you don't, you are wasting your good luck. Remember if you do exactly the same as what you did last year, nothing will happen.

If majority of the elements in your PBC are not good (ie. having 2 - 4 Earth elements), lay low and consolidate. Do not start a new venture or take risks.

If you have half good and half bad elements in your PBC, try and combine with a partner who have the good elements in his or her PBC.

NOTE : Read the latest! - FENG SHUI 2018 ACCORDING TO JOEY YAP

Last Sunday, I attended Joey Yap's 2016 Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar at KL Convention Centre. It was the first time I took the LRT to attend a seminar in KL. I usually drive, but I decided to do something different this time.

I went there with two other friends that day. We had to queue up to register for the seminar - and the queue was long! Luckily, the queue moved pretty fast and it did not take too long.

I have to say this is one of the better yearly seminars of Joey Yap. I think this time, he did a fantastic job of explaining the basics especially to feng shui newbies without taking too much time. And of course, he was still as sarcastic as ever, which I thought was what made his seminar fun.

Just like last year, we were required to print out our Personal Bazi Charts so that what he said would be relevant to each individual. I am going to share with you what he said during the seminar so if you do not have your Bazi Chart ready, do get it HERE before continue reading.

Below is the Bazi Chart for the Year 2016. Sorry if it's not very clear. The image, which is copyrighted, is taken from Joey Yap's Seminar booklet. So I am not sure how long this image will remain here. In the event that I am asked to take it down, I may have no choice but to do so (hopefully not!)





According to Joey Yap, the most dominant element in 2016 is Fire. This is followed by Wood, Water, Metal and lastly, Earth which is the least dominant. However, this applies to Malaysia only.

Fire industries will do well in 2016. This includes petrol, food, aviation, technology, electronics, entertainment and pharmaceutical.

Now check your Personal Bazi Chart. If you have Fire in any of the four pillars, then that's good news for you. However, too much fire means you will be emotional, so just 2 or 3 fires in your chart is good enough.

If you do not have Fire in your chart, check if you have Wood instead. Since Wood produces Fire, even if you do not have a single Fire in your chart, having Wood means you are still safe :)

Joey Yap also mentioned that if you have both Fire and Wood, then it's pretty safe to travel in 2016. Otherwise, try not to travel so much.

There is also Fire conquering Metal (Fire sitting on top of Metal) in this year's Chart. The last time a similar chart appeared was during 9/11. So there may be major conflicts and explosion this year.

Metal also represents job security so this will likely affect those in the metal industries like financial, banking, military, and automobiles. Metal is regarded as a negative element this year.

However, one element missing from the chart is Water (only have hidden Water in the Chart). So anyone with Water in his or her Personal Bazi Chart will be the luckiest in 2016.

Water industries will do well since water is sorely needed. This includes tourism, aquatic, fishery, shipping, transport, and the service industry.

Earth, which is the least dominant element this year will confirm the fears of many that the property market will not be booming in 2016. However, Joey Yap said it may perhaps be a good time to buy property. Others in the Earth industry includes insurance, mining, and construction.

In conclusion, if you have all the three elements - Water, Wood and Fire in your Personal Bazi Chart, 2016 will be a great year for you! If you do not have all three, then it may mean 2016 will be a rather challenging year.

Also, the more Earth elements you have in your Bazi Chart, the worse it will be. 2016 may then turn out to be a really slow year for you. However, do not be upset. After all, it is only for one year. Nothing is permanent. And things will change in 2017. Also, if your Bazi Chart does not favour your luck and fortune this year, you can improve your situation by using Feng Shui! Now you know why we need to learn about Feng Shui, don't you? :)

Referring to the 2016 Bazi Chart, Joey Yap explained some of the calamities that might occur in 2016. Since there is a Fire - Metal clash, this indicates transport accidents. Monkey and Tiger clash also indicates major accidents.

If you have Monkey and Tiger in your Personal Bazi Chart, then your chances of being involved in traffic accident is higher.

The Fire - Metal clash also indicates war related conflicts, possibly more terrorist attacks.

With Water hidden underneath the Chart, this may possibly indicate tsunami. Fire on top of the Chart also indicates hurricane.

As for Health issues, Metal in the Bazi Chart indicates illness dealing with lungs, breathing and also prostate problems.

For 2016, Metal represents Cash, Water represents Profits, Fire represents Sales and Wood represents Assets. If you have Metal in your Personal Bazi Chart, then you will have cash. If it appears on the top (heavenly stem), then everyone knows you are rich. But if it appears at the bottom (Earthly branch), then no one knows you are rich.

If you have Water in your Chart, then it is a profitable year for you. Even though it is profitable, it does not mean you receive the cash. So for a person running a business, it is best to have both Water and Metal in his or her chart. Otherwise, your business may be making profit, but the cash does not reach you.

If you have Fire in your Chart, this means you have sales. For sales to take place also indicates you are influential and have the ability to easily convince people.

If you have Wood in your Chart, this means you have better luck than others in getting property or assets this year.

Joey Yap also briefly mentioned about Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, having Water and Metal in his Bazi Chart, so Joey believes Tim will be having some great opportunities this year.

Without going into full details, I am going to briefly mention about the animal signs and what they each represents in your Bazi Chart. The Wealth Stars are Ox, Pig, Snake and Rabbit. If you have an Ox in the Month Pillar, your career will improve this year.

The Relationship Stars are Ox, Goat and Rooster. Ox represents happy events, Goat true love and Rooster uncontrollable desire.

Rabbit, Rat and Monkey represents Status, Power and Recognition. Of these three, Rabbit is the greatest as it is the most auspicious star where you will have the power to command other people. If you have Monkey in your Chart, then a lot of people will take notice of you this year - definitely a good animal sign to have if you into branding or marketing.

Rooster, Snake and Rabbit represent Helpful People. Rooster is the most powerful nobleman star. If Rooster is in your Year Pillar, then you are the noble person - make sure you are more helpful to others. If you have Snake in your Chart, then it's a year of good food and entertainment - which of course translates to getting fat! LOL. Rabbit is a Dragon Virtue star meaning if you have Rabbit in your month or day pillar, you will see all your obstacles easily dissolved.

Tiger and Boar both represents Dissolving Problems. If you have Tiger in your chart, then no matter how big is your problem, it will most certainly be resolved. If you have a Boar, then it is a good year to move house.

Academic are represented by Dragon and Monkey. A Monkey in your chart indicates you are somehow more intelligent this year - you can decipher things easily.

Tiger and Snake indicates connections and networking. If you have Tiger in your chart, you will be good at networking this year. And if you have a Snake, then you will get to know the right people at the right places!

People with Boar and Rooster in their Chart may suffer from memory lapse and forgetfulness this year. While people with Dog, Goat, Tiger and Rat may be emotional.

Those with Dragon and Horse should watch out for accidents. Dragon indicates bleeding and small injuries - you can take pre-emptive measures by donating blood. Doing so will help you avoid unlucky accidents that might befall you.

For health related issues, those with Goat, Monkey and Tiger in their charts take note. Goat indicates stomach problem and digestive issues. Monkey indicates injuries by sharp objects, possible minor surgeries and accidents at work. Tiger indicates internal bleeding, inflammation and cyst or growth.
If you have all three - Goat, Monkey, Tiger - in your Bazi Chart, then you may be very sick in 2016 so do make extra effort to take good care of your health!

Joey Yap then showed us how to resolve problems using animal signs. For example, if you have a Goat in your Bazi Chart and it is a problem for you, then you need to look for people with Dog, Rat or Horse to assist you. Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce the chart here. Anyone knows where to get this chart?

For the past few years I have been attending rather religiously Dato Joey Yap's Feng Shui and Astrology Seminar. This year is no different. So last Sunday I found myself at KL Convention Center where Joey Yap's 2015 Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar was held.





The full-day seminar was to start at 10am, and I thought arriving there by 9am should be fine, but I was wrong. I was given the yellow wrist tag which means I ended up sitting right at the back of the Plenary Hall. It appeared that the turnout for this year's event was the largest ever with tickets fully sold out one week before the event!

Last year, Joey Yap introduced Qi Men Dun Jia, another branch of Chinese metaphysics which is gaining lots of popularity and attention here in Malaysia. This year, he continued with more stuffs about Qi Men Dun Jia which I shall be sharing in Part 2.
































First, let me start with what Joey Yap had to say about 2015, the year of the Wood Goat. Of course, he did not just do a prediction out of thin air. Like all feng shui masters, he came out with the predictions by analyzing the Bazi Chart for 2015.

Don't know what a Bazi Chart (also known as Four Pillars) is? Read HERE for a short introduction to Bazi.

Knowing what's in store for 2015 is all well and good, but how is that relevant to you? For that, you need to match the information you gained from the 2015 Bazi Chart with your own Personal Bazi Chart.

If you do not have a copy of your Personal Bazi Chart, you can download and print it for FREE at Joey Yap's website HERE. Just register first if it's your first time, and then enter your date of birth and time of birth.

Take note that Joey Yap had upgraded the Bazi Chart Plotter with a facelift and also included personalised Annual QiMen and Bazi Stars which change yearly. So even if you have printed out your Bazi Chart last year, do take the effort to print it out again for the additional new features and information. The Annual QiMen and Bazi Stars will change after your birthday, so do print out another copy after your birthday!

Now let's take a look at the Bazi Chart for the year 2015.

If you recall, the Bazi Chart for 2014 was not balanced with Water missing. That could probably explain why we had to deal with water issues. Transportation is under Water element, so maybe that could be why Malaysia suffered from 2 plane crashes and one missing plane?

The 2015 Bazi Chart is more balanced with all the 5 elements present. However, Water element is still weak and the Metal element is weak too. Yin Metal (small metal) cannot chop Wood, so economy will be sluggish.

Earth covers Metal, which may signify collapse of Earth - perhaps a tunnel related catastrophe?

The Wood Horse from 2014 carries over to the 2015 Bazi Chart (hour pillar) - this signifies that some problems from 2014 will continue in 2015. Not exactly sure what problems will carry over but please, no more air disasters!!

Wood represents wealth in 2015. If you have Wood in your Personal Bazi Chart, then you will be quite prosperous this year. However, if you do not have Wood, then look for Fire in your Chart. If you have no Wood and Fire, then at least have Water. If you have both Wood and Fire, that's pretty good. Water represents wisdom, so if you have all three - Wood, Fire and Water in your Chart, then you will be doing quite well in 2015!

From the 2015 Bazi Chart, you can see that Wood is the strongest element, followed by Fire, Earth, Water and Metal in that order. As such, Wood industries (plantation, education, clothing, furniture) will be most successful this year.

Palm oil industry and retail and services industries will also be doing quite well since they are under the combination of Wood and Fire elements.

Finance industry will be weak as Metal is weak but there will be growth in financial advisory services as that is under the combination of Metal and Water.

Health care industry will also be doing well as it is a Wood and Fire industry.


Now take a look at your own Personal Bazi Chart. Can you find Wood on the upper row (Heavenly Stems)? Wood represents cash. If yes, then you will have lots of cash this year and everyone knows it, but you also end up spending a lot of your cash!

If instead you see Wood on the lower row (Earthly Branches), then you will be having cash too but you will be saving them. And no one knows about it!

Which one do you prefer - Wood on the upper row or the lower row? LOL! Joey Yap said that the upper row is better because you can invest your money instead of spending recklessly. He thought that saving money is rather silly since the current inflation is higher than bank interests!

Next, look if you have Water in your Bazi Chart. Water represents profit. If the Water appears on the upper row, then your profit will only be a little. However, if Water appears on the lower row, then you will be enjoying huge profit!

Is it possible to have Wood (cash) but no Water (profit)? Yes, because you may have received a large sum of cash from someone which is not considered a profit from business.

Metal represents self element in 2015. So if you have strong Metal in your Personal Bazi Chart, then you have strong influence over others. In other words, you can easily influence others, which means you will be good in sales and in getting a job! As such, if you do not have Metal in your Chart, do not look for a new job this year. You will not be able to impress much in your job interviews.

Metal also represents discipline. If you have no Metal, then you will most likely have no discipline.

Having one or two Earth elements in your Bazi Chart is good. However, if you have more than 2 Earth elements, then you are probably having too much free time, and likely to be fat too! LOL! I am not sure if Joey Yap is joking or serious when he said this.

If there is Fire in your Bazi Chart, you can count on having your own strategy. But if you have no Fire, do not bother to come out with your own strategy. Copy other people's ideas instead.

Up till now, you already know that the three most important elements in 2015 are Wood, Fire and Water. Now if you have these three elements only in the Month and Year pillars of your Bazi Chart, then your career and friends are good. If they only appear in the Day and Hour pillars, then it is your family life and health that will be good. Of course, if you have them in all 4 pillars, then you have the best of everything.

The Day Pillar for 2015 is Xin Hai which represents revolution or change. There might be many changes coming. Joey Yap jokingly said that already one change coming into the life of every Malaysians is expected in 2015 and that is, the GST! LOL.


Joey Yap had preached about the concept of smart money and dumb money over the years. Briefly, smart money is money you make when you work for it and you know exactly how you earn it. Dumb money on the other hand, is money that falls onto your lap without you having a clue as to how you earn it.

If you look at your Personal Bazi Chart and find all the three Wood, Fire and Water on the upper row (Heavenly Stems) except the Day Pillar, then you are one lucky fellow as you will have dumb money in 2015! Please give me a nice treat when you get your money! Haha.

However, if the Wood, Fire and Water are found in the lower row (Earthly Branches), then you will have smart money, which is really not bad at all.

Can't find all three elements in your Bazi Chart? Then maybe it's time to use feng shui to create better options and opportunities for yourself.

Every year the afflictions and bad sectors change direction. In 2015, be aware of the afflictions at these sectors.

The West sector suffers from a double whammy this year. Both the dreaded Five Yellow star and also the deadly Three Killings are here. If your bedroom is in this sector, try and move to another room. If not possible, then make sure that you do not disturb or accidentally activate the bad stars. Strictly no renovation inside or outside the house in the West direction or you may be hit by a host of serious problems like loss of wealth, illness, legal issues or worse, serious life threatening calamities.

South West 1 sector is where the Grand Duke (Tai Sui) resides this year.  No renovation or ground breaking activities here or you will suffer from mishaps, obstacles and calamities. Keep this place quiet as much as possible to avoid triggering it. Also, when it comes to important meetings and negotiations, do not face South West 1 or it will attract a negative outcome for you.

North East 1 plays host to the Year Breaker (Sui Po) this year. Again, renovation and ground breaking activities are out of the question here. Activating this sector will bring about loss of money, illness, and other bad luck.

Now the question is, what IF you accidentally trigger or activate these sectors? What if your neighbour decides to renovate a part of their house which so happens is your West sector which contains the Five Yellow and Three Killings? You can't ask them to stop renovating, can you?

Do take note that these afflictions only take effect starting from 4th February 2015. Joey Yap provided a solution and that is, to activate all the good sectors first! Well, if you can activate the bad sectors, you can definitely activate the good sectors in the exact same way! By activating the good sectors, the bad effects that you receive will at least be reduced partially. So instead of a major catastrophe, perhaps you will only suffer a minor problem.

Joey Yap suggested that we first activate these four major auspicious stars before 4th February 2015 as a preventive measure. These four stars are Dragon Virtue (North East 3), Fortune Virtue (South East 1), Sun (South West 3) and Moon (North West 1).

How do you activate these good sectors? If you do not wish to do renovation at these sectors, you can just simply move the furnitures around. Or you can nail the wall and hang a picture. Alternatively, you can place water element like an aquarium or just a big tank of water at these areas for about 2 weeks. (yes, 2 weeks to a month is sufficient, not for the whole year!)

In Part 2, we will be looking at the Flying Star Chart for 2015. With this chart (Joey Yap provided a more detailed Flying Star Chart this year) we will be able to know which sectors of your house or office are good and which are not so good, and what you can do about them. Also in Part 2 will be new stuffs about Qi Men Dun Jia, particularly the Five Charm method, and some explanation on the use of the Qi Men Mobility Directions and the Bazi Stars in your Personal Bazi Chart printout. And not forgetting of course what all of you are probably waiting for - the dates and times of activation for wealth, health, relationship etc. in 2015! Stay tuned!

This year, I attended Joey Yap's 2014 Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar at KL Convention Center on the 12th of January.



Every year for the past few years, Joey Yap had been conducting the annual seminar in English as well as in Cantonese. Last year I attended the Cantonese version, so this year I decided to switch back to the English version, which was held one day after the Cantonese seminar.

I actually prefer the Cantonese seminar as it's more fun, but copying down notes is a huge challenge as I can't write in Mandarin!



The Plenary Hall where the seminar was held was almost full when I entered. The seminar was scheduled to start at 10am, but I heard that some people were already there as early as 7am to get the best seats! Too bad I ended up sitting very high up, and very far from the stage. I later learned that the turnout this year broke the record as the largest ever.

In fact, the Plenary Hall exceeded its maximum capacity and some participants had to be seated in a separate hall to watch a live feed of the event! Looks like Joey Yap's popularity is going from strength to strength!



For the very first time, Joey Yap introduced a branch of Chinese metaphysics called Qi Men Dun Jia. It's a totally new subject to me but I think it's very fascinating! Will go into more details about Qi Men Dun Jia in Part 2.



Without further ado, let's go straight to what Joey Yap had to say about 2014, the year of the Wood Horse. As is the case every year, anyone attending his annual Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar is required to bring along his or her Personal Bazi Chart.

Not sure what is a Bazi Chart? Read HERE for a short introduction to Bazi.

You can download and print your Personal Bazi Chart HERE. All you need to do is register first if it's your first time, and then enter your birth date and time.

Now let's take a look at the Bazi Chart for the year 2014.

From the Chart, you can see that there is an excess of Fire element while the Water element is missing. Fire is therefore the most prosperous element in 2014. As such, it is safe to conclude that Fire industries will do well this year. Fire industries include restaurants, airlines, petrol, technology, computers, electric and electronics.

Now take a look at your own Personal Bazi Chart. If you have Fire elements in your chart, then generally you will have a good year.

If you do not have Fire in your chart, look for the second most dominant element for 2014, which is Wood.

No Wood in your Personal Bazi Chart? Then, look for the third element, which is Metal. If you have all three elements (Fire, Wood and Metal) in your Bazi Chart, then this year will be a very good year for you!

This year, Metal represents cashflow, so if you have no Metal in your Personal Bazi Chart, then you may experience cashflow problems in 2014.

Wood represents profit, so if you are in business and you have Wood in your Personal Bazi Chart, then it's a profitable year for you. If Wood is missing but Metal is present in your Chart, cash will still come to you but may not come from your profits.

Fire represents sales, so if you have Fire in your Bazi Chart, then you will do pretty well at selling yourself this year.

What if you are unfortunate enough to have no Fire, Wood or even Metal in your Bazi Chart? All is not lost however. You can rectify it simply by befriending people who have Fire, Wood and Metal elements in their Bazi Charts! It's somewhat akin to borrowing their elements. And yes, that means start getting to know people around you and checking out their Bazi charts! LOL!

Now most people will expect that since Fire is in excess this year, there will be lots of fire-related occurrences like volcano eruptions, infernos and explosions. However, although that may be true, Joey said that since a strong Fire will melt ice, we may end up with excess water and experience water related problems like flooding as well.

Water in general represents intelligence and wisdom. Since the Water element is missing from the 2014 Bazi Chart, wisdom is therefore missing. Expect people to do more stupid things. Also this being the Wood Horse Year, and the Wood Horse represents battle, expect more fightings and war to happen.

The Bazi Chart has four pillars which is made up of the Year, Month, Day and Hour pillars. The Year and Month pillars represent external influences while the Day and Hour pillars represent internal influences. If you have Fire, Wood or Metal in your Year and Month pillars, then majority of your luck comes from external influences ie. social circle, industry and job. However, if they appear in your Day and Hour pillars, then your luck comes from internal influences ie. family, relationship and home.

During the seminar, Joey Yap also touched a little on Face Reading. I could not remember everything that he said but here are some of them. Regarding the eyes, if someone has clear eyes, he's currently enjoying good fortune. If his eyes is gloomy, then he is having some problems. If the eyes look glossy like marble, then he's the third party in a relationship!

On the eye brows, Joey Yap said that if a person has no eye brow, then he or she will not have a profitable year. By the way, fake eye brow or tattoos do not count. The eye brow also represents partnership. If someone does not have balanced eye brows, it's better not to partner him or her.

As for the ears, they should be same height as the eyes. If the ears appear higher than the eyes, the person is considered smart. But if his ears are lower than the eyes, he's having cash-flow problems.

Joey Yap also explained a little about the concept of Smart Money and Dumb Money. For the uninitiated, Dumb Money is money you earn without having a clue as to how you earn it. Smart Money on the other hand is money you make when you know exactly what you did to earn it.

The Bazi Chart is made up of two horizontal rows. The upper row is knows as Heavenly Stems and the bottom row is known as Earthy Branches. (refer to Bazi Chart above). Now look at your own Personal Bazi Chart. If you have Fire, Wood and Metal on your Heavenly Stems (upper row), then you have Dumb Money this year. But if you have those three elements on your Earthly Branches (lower row), then you have Smart Money.

However, if you only have those three elements in your Hidden Stems (the third row right below Earthly Branches), it means you will still make money but you need to put in much more effort.

Joey Yap also mentioned about three astrological animals that represents wealth. They are Dog, Rooster and Ox. If you have these three animals in your Personal Bazi Chart, then you will enjoy good wealth in 2014.

However, it matters where they are located in your Bazi Chart. If any of the three animals appears in your Year Pillar, then it's your friend who will get rich, not you. If they appear on your Month Pillar, your career or business will do well. The Dog and Ox are especially good for career, but if you want to be an investor (and not just a business owner or entrepreneur), you will need the Rooster.

If you do not have any of these animals in your Chart or if you have only one or two of them, do not worry. You just need to befriend people who have those animals in their charts!

Besides the Bazi Chart, Joey also made use of the Flying Star Chart to determine the good and bad sectors of 2014.

North is afflicted with the Three Killings, with North 2 being afflicted with the Year Breaker as well, so absolutely no renovation in this sector. However, North is a Wealth sector this year and as such, using this sector will enhance your income and make your business grow.

Although North is a Wealth sector, it is secondary compared to the South, which is the major Wealth sector in 2014. If your house's main door is located in the South, you will enjoy good financial returns and recognition in your career. You can activate this sector by placing yang-natured items like fans, clocks and television here.

The dreaded Five Yellow flies into the North West this year. As such, the North West is the most dangerous sector in your homes or office - you need to avoid it if possible. Noise and renovation will trigger the Five Yellow, so keep this place quiet. If for some reason, you can't avoid the sector, you can neutralize some of the negative effects by placing items made of brass, iron or copper here.

The East is afflicted with Illness Star. Avoid this sector if possible and also no renovation here. However, if you are not able to avoid this sector, it is advisable to place items make of brass, copper or bronze to minimize the effects.

The North East is afflicted with the Robbery Star this year. Renovation will trigger it, so be very careful. However, this sector is good for education and study.

The West sector is a good sector this year. Activating it will give you the ability to make decisions and to get things done. It will also enhance your network capability and influence at work.

The South West is a Noblemen sector. Activating it will attract noble people into your life. This sector is especially good for those who are highly ambitious and wish to build an empire.

The Centre where the Star number 4 resides this year is good for academic pursuits. Education will be a priority in the year 2014. But the Centre also has the Hexagram of Poison - this means there will be some form of contamination or poisoning similar to a SARS epidemic.

Knowing which sectors in your house is good or bad is all well and good, but what happens if you or someone else accidentally trigger the bad sectors? Luckily, Joey Yap offered a solution in the form of the 4 major Auspicious Stars.

The 4 major Auspicious Stars are the Moon (West 2), Sun (South West 1), Fortune Virtue (East 2) and Dragon Virtue (North East 1).

Activating these four stars will provide some form of immunity from accidentally triggering the bad sectors. You can activate the stars by doing some simple refurbishment at the sectors where they reside, or you can simply move furnitures around or even nail a wall and hang a picture. Alternatively, you can place a water feature at these locations for about 2 weeks to a month.

Joey Yap did not provide the date and time to activate these stars, so I guess we can probably activate them anytime before 4th of February 2014 when the energy officially changes.
