It's just a few days into the new year, and here I am, as busy as ever!

Gosh, I'm already looking forward to the coming Chinese New Year holidays!

Seeing that I do not have much time to write a lengthy post today, I am just going to share with you my piano rendition of Jay Chou's song "Cǎi Hóng" (Rainbow)

In case you have not heard of this song before, watch this music video.

This song was from his 2007 album Wǒ Hěn Máng (On The Run).

And here's my piano performance of this song. As usual, please excuse some slips and errors in my playing. Hope you like it! : )

victor, cai hong is your favourite Jay Chou's song? Cool! I actually like some of his other songs better, but this one is ok. Glad my playing makes you relax : )

tekkaus, today is your first day at your new job? You must tell me what is your new job lah! Thanks for mistaking my playing with Jay Chou's. I'll take that as a compliment although I think he's more famous for his song writing skills : )

Jay Chau? Ummm...I think I'll pass! Hahahahahaha!!! And Mariah Curry too! See my post tomorrow! Got a nice song and I love this version by the composer herself, the piano accompaniment shines way above all the other yucky versions of the song.

lisa, I love his songs but don't understand the lyrics - had to get friends to translate the lyrics for me into English! : ) I really admire him not for his singing, but for his songwriting skills. I love the way he blends the eastern and western music.

medie007, thanks! Hope you like my rendition of the song : )

Oh, Jay Chou. I remember I saw his vid clip on tv and liked it. It was shot somewhere like in a war zone. The vid was quite dark and there were kids from somewhere in Bosnia (just a guess).

I don't remember the name of the song though. It was like 2 years ago

    He's a good pianist too, I agree!

I am not a fan of jay Chou.Because I can't hear what he sing clearly.

But I love the pure music you play!

rad, you know him too? I was not a big fan of him until recently. Although I did like some of the songs from his previous album. He's good at combining Western and Eastern elements into his music, which I find most unique. And yes, he's a pretty good pianist : )

life ramblings, can't wait for CNY holidays! : )

josephine, you are welcome. Oh, you are big fan of Jay Chou too? Cool! "Wo bu pei" is a nice song. He wrote many beautiful songs for himself as well as for other singers. Very talented indeed!

levian, thanks. Yes, it is : )

iWalk, thanks! Yes, many people did not like that he does not pronounce the words clearly in his singing. But for someone not good in Mandarin like me, that's a small matter. I just enjoy his music - he may not be a good singer, but as a songwriter, he's fantastic!
