A Rainy Day In KL

I went to KL (Kuala Lumpur) yesterday for Christmas shopping with my friend. It was not a good idea as there were so many people!

I had parked my car in Pavilion shopping mall in the morning and I thought after shopping (or rather window shopping) in Pavilion, we could walk over to Farenheit 88, Lot 10 and Sungei Wang Plaza. Anyway, to cut the long story short, after all the shopping, we had a late lunch at Nando's in Sungei Wang Plaza.

As we were about to leave Nando's, it started to rain! As it was too late to walk back to Pavilion, we quickly seek shelter at the first shop we saw - Snowflake Taiwanese Dessert! And since we were there, why not try their new item - Sesame Joyous Sorbet?

This Sesame Joyous Sorbet consists of soya ice base topped with a scoop of sesame sorbet, the pinkish beetballs (made from beet root), the greenish ochaballs (made from Japanese green tea) and barley.

I always thought it's nice eating hot desserts while the rain is pouring outside, but actually cold desserts were perfectly suited for a cold, rainy day too!

I found this new Sesame Joyous Sorbet not bad but it would be much better if they replace the barley with something else. Maybe red bean or pearls perhaps?

After finishing our desserts at Snowflake, it was still raining heavily, so we walked over to Lot 10 via the sheltered bridge. There was no way we could walk back to Pavilion without getting ourselves wet so we wandered into H&M again. (We had already shopped there earlier).

When we came out from H&M, it was still raining! For the first time, I wished the rain would stop!

My friend and I decided to wait it out. I snapped a picture of Chatime Galleria. I sort of enjoyed watching the rain hitting the partly transparent roof.

I have thoughts of waiting it out at Haagen Dazs. At least it would be more enjoyable waiting for the rain to stop while eating yummy ice cream right? : )

But no, we did not enter Haagen Dazs. I guess after a big bowl of ice cold Snowflake dessert, another round of icy cold dessert just would not do.

I kind of like the reflection at the top. Yes, it's during times like this when there's absolutely nothing to do, that I notice such things. Haha!

There were actually people walking past trying to sell us umbrellas! How enterprising! No way was I going to buy an umbrella but my friend bought one! I was like, what the heck?!

By the time we got back to Pavilion, the rain had already reduced to a drizzle. My parking ticket costs RM15!! If it's not because of the rain, I would have already left Pavilion car park hours ago and saved myself some money.

But it's hard to be angry with the rain. I had spent a rainy day in KL and honestly, it was awesome.
